SYMI
The port of Symi is called Gialos and there are large staircases that connect the lower area of the city (Gialos) to the higher one, called Horio (or Ano Simi), the oldest part of the island. Horio is full of small alleys in which pastel-colored houses alternate with ancient ruins. In Horio there are also the ruins of the castle built by the Knights of St. John in the early 1400s.
